Hello! I'm just curious about what are your wishes for Christmas (or whatever Holiday you are celebrating ^^)?
And if your are not celebrating Christmas, what is it in your country/religion?
If you feel comfortable to share =) but no judgment here, we all love each others regardless of our belief ^^ I'm just always curious about other countries and religions, here in Quebec we are pretty open minded about this, generally ^^

As far as my background, my mom's family is Roman Catholic and my dad's is Jewish (Hungarian Ashkenazi), but both my parents are agnostic and raised me without any religious stuff other than "going to family dinners sometimes"
soooo all I'm doing for Christmas is eating lunch with my parents and grandparents! we usually have a big ham, butter croissants, yams, peas, cranberry jam (the kind from the can), and then a pumpkin pie!
We haven't done actual presents in a few years - too poor tbh - but my grandparents seem to end up giving us giftcards every year even though we tell them not to haha

My mom hates christmas and my dad is more of a family man, but we do celebrate christmas, but nothing too much. It's always a dorky hilarious two days (yes here in the netherlands christmas is actually 2 and a half days), because we are a strange family xD That's why a friend of me wants to celebrate christmas with my family :')
We have a couple of presents but nothing expensive, because my parents don't have money for that.
Oh and of course... foooood :B

My family celebrates Christmas. Usually we don't have many items under the tree, but I think we did really good this year judging by how many boxes are under it. :'D Even if we didn't have many, it wouldn't matter, cause it's a good day as long as we can spend it together. :>
Every Christmas Eve, we open our stocking stuffers and watch A Christmas Story on TV. It's a lot of fun, haha.

Christmas is a huge deal to me, as in I want to spend the day with loved ones eating an extensive home-cooked meal, with a decorated tree in the room, awful Christmas music playing in the background and exchanging meaningful presents. I tend to abuse any holiday/celebration as a perfect excuse/opportunity to hang with my loved ones ;D My boyfriend isn't very big on tacky holiday things, but this year I've been a little lax about decorating/baking my usual things, and he's been asking about it haha Definitely a holiday/tradition I want to keep alive for the rest of my life <3 Here is the Christmas mix I've been listening to since I was a kid - they're all songs from a double CD that my mom owned, but I put them online last year since the CD's were getting old 8tracks.com/dainty/christmas-songs-i-grew-up-withHere are some baking/holiday shots from two years ago (I spent the day with friends last year and didn't get any pics)

winston, it really looks like my Christmas =3
Loooooooot of cooking and food, meeting with my family! Not this year though, we are spending Christmas in my boyfriend's family, his brother just got married and bought a new house, so he wanted to host the holidays ^^
I can't wait, we already started to give presents and meet each others, but tonight and tomorrow night will be the big nights =D
My sweetie got me a Kinect ;A;

I usually celebrate christmas with my parents but we all tend to feel the pressure to be happy and so end up pretty gloomy D; so when my parents asked me this year I just said no, my friend has already invited me. I got pretty excited about celebrating christmas with my ~real~ family :D as they are all laid-back and don't expect traditional things! YAY. Instead I'm having dinner with my parents in a couple of days, and it's gonna be delicious (my dad's basically a chef!!) and much more laid-back and not as gloomy as it has been so I'm excited about that too! It's been over a decade since I've not truly despised this time of year and it makes me pretty happy! :D

I hope you have a lot of fun with it I got a pretty scarf and a Kindle - I'm particularly excited about the Kindle, I love the idea of being able to read a lot without amassing a huge paper library *^*

My sweetie got me a Kinect ;A; Aw, that's awesome. I've always wanted to try one of those out. My family was very happy with their gifts, my mom especially, seeing as my brother got her a new vacuum cleaner. ^___^ I got: Pajamas (I can never have too many) Earrings Red jeans (already washed 'em, lol) Bath set (bar soap, body wash, lotion) More lotion Candies Samsung Galaxy TAB 2 26-inch HDTV The TV is great, I'll never leave my room again, haha. I had gotten a tablet last year, but it was an off-brand and I couldn't even do anything with it, so the Galaxy definitely made my day.

I didn't get anything because I just save up my right to a present for whenever I need something, and when I don't I just let the opportunity for a present pass by T-T. I think I'll surprise my parents with a couple of prints of my drawings because they've been asking it for a long time, but it'll have to be a new year's present because I still need to print : D
Also I've been thinking of asking a fancy rice cooker since I adore rice and am pretty bad at making rice but I'm starting to finally understand rice making it in a regular pot is fine and since I am lazy and always looking for short cuts I've recently taken up the habit of putting a basket on top of the pot I make rice in and filling it with vegetables and it's really delicious steamed above rice like that! So now I don't know anymore because I know my laziness and I probably wouldn't just put up an empty pot of water just to steam vegetables so now I don't know any more T________T.

You can steam your vegetables in a rice cooker too though, tons of people do it (I'm not saying you should get one, just y'know, that's still an option if you do ^^).
I celebrated Christmas Eve with my parents. Usually we celebrate Christmas day with my extended family but my grandmother didn't feel well enough to see that many people this year (she's not ill, just getting older).

Yes of course I've thought about it but then I'd have to cook it separately wouldn't I? (would I?) and it's so handy and perfectly lazy to just put a straw steamer on top of a pot XD. But IDK!

No you can just put the steaming basket in your rice cooker above your rice ^o^. Some rice cookers even come with a basket. The time might be different though, but you can just put in the basket a little bit later.

I got Lady Gaga perfume in a great box with extra's~ I really love the smell and I think it fits me perfectly ^^
We still celebrate today, because we have a second christmas day here, and that makes me very happy because I don't want christmas to end... more because that will mean I will have to do ALOT of schoolwork ;-;
I hope that everyone had an amazing time~*

For the questions about the Kinect:
It is not a console but an accessory to add to the Xbox 360, which is a gaming console yes! I'll buy a dance game, it will be so awesome and I'll host dancing nights for my friends (since the last time it wasn't me who was hosting the girls party).
Weehee, *___*
